If you're like me, there never seems to be enough time to relax and fall into the world of the latest novel. Especially when new and enticing books keep catching my eye before I can finish my current read.
There's nothing like getting wrapped up in the lives of characters that touch your heart or boil your blood. Though there are numerous options out there, I've selected ten books full of romance, suspense, and scandal.
Some of the books listed are from well respected authors that have produced several noteworthy novels and a few authors on the rise that show tremendous talent and are receiving high praise.

If I Cant Have You by Mary B. Morrison
This novel kicks off the seductive series and is full of jealousy, infidelity and passion. This New York Times best selling author, who also writes under the name Honey B, tackles sexual and social issues and how they impact our relationships. She also aims to empower women.
Curious Minds by Janet Evanovich and Phoef Sutton

New York Times best selling author, Janet Evanovich, teams up with Phoef Sutton to debut the Knight and Moon series. A rich and eccentric introvert teams up with a feisty and tenacious Harvard graduate to solve mysteries that lead them into a sinister plot and form an undeniable chemistry.
Don't You Cry by Mary Kubica

This New York Times best selling author is back again with her third novel that is full of suspense and intensity. I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style, and ability to keep her readers engaged, mystified and thrilled in her previous novels and her newest release is no different. Full of suspense, this psychological thriller will keep you guessing until the last page.
The Trophy Wife by Ashley and JaQuavis

These authors teamed up in high school and have created intense, gritty novels that their urban readers can relate to ever since. The Trophy wife was published in 2014. I don't know how I missed the action but I am eager to catch up with the dynamic duo. The Trophy Wife stars a Trinidadian immigrant given in marriage and finds her life is not what she imagined.

See Through My eyes: Violated by Ayana M. Williams
This debut novel looks promising and uniquely incorporates poetry. A married woman deals with infidelity in her marriage and the sexual assault of her daughter. Reviewers have praised the content and enjoyed the story while some have criticized Williams for her delivery. The book touches on issues that many are familiar with and few are willing to talk about. As a fellow new artist, I am eager to give the novel a read.
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

The sixth novel from the best selling author surrounds the parents of students at an elementary school in Australia. A parents' night goes terribly wrong and a parent ends up dead. The story is full of scandal, mystery and twists while it touches on the dynamics of single parenting, remarriage, dealing with exes and more.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

A romantic novel that portrays the unique bond of a small town girl and a paralyzed man, and how they changed each others lives. With this novel I face the dilemma of choosing whether to read the novel first or watching the motion picture based on the novel that was released June of 2016. No matter what I decide I will act fast so that I can follow up with the sequel, After You.
The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins

A best selling psychological thriller that will also be hitting the big screen in October 2016. This debut novel is full of suspense, mystery and twists that will keep you guessing until the end. A woman battling alcoholism and her grief from her divorce witnesses something, or so she thinks. She can't remember. Her obsession with a couple she views from the train each day leads her into a whirlwind of trouble.

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
This best selling young adult novel touches on lies, friendship, and more lies. Four friends are keeping a dangerous secret and their relationship becomes destructive.
The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith

This crime series debuted in 2013. J.K Rowlings published under this pseudonym in order to get untarnished feedback, and the results were astounding. The jig is up, of course, but according to Rowlings, it was a great experience. Although it is her first novel in the genre it has rightfully claimed its place and received much praise. I look forward to meeting the unique private detective who was wounded in Afghanistan and takes on the challenge of solving murders.
